Your No.2, now taking calls in Claude

The Assistant Manager has a new office. Connect Your No.2 to Claude and ask about your team in plain English. He answers from your actual fifteen, your bank, your chips and your mini-leagues. Not a spreadsheet you found at 1am.

Things you can ask

• "Who should I captain this week?"

• "Is a free hit worth it in GW6?"

• "Build me a wildcard for the next six gameweeks."

  If you have already played it, he will tell you. Politely, by his standards.

• "Which two defenders rotate well over the next ten gameweeks?"

• "How am I doing against my mini-league rivals?"

• "How have your calls gone for me so far?"

How to connect (two minutes, one of them spent finding Settings)

   In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.

   Click +, then Add custom connector.

   Name it Your No.2 and paste this address:

   Click Add, then Connect, and sign in with your Your No.2 account.

   In a new chat, switch Your No.2 on from the + menu under Connectors. Then ask away.

• Works on Claude's free plan, which allows one custom connector. You don't need to pay Claude anything.
• ChatGPT should work too on its Pro and business plans, though we haven't road-tested it yet. Claude is the easy route.
• Make sure your FPL team ID is saved in your Your No.2 account first.
• Your No.2 is not affiliated with Anthropic or the Premier League.

Give him his own office

Claude's own knowledge of football is a season or two behind. Left to wander, it will mix in web results, other connectors or its memory, and tell you your centre-back still plays for his old club. Keep the Assistant Manager in a room of his own and the answers come from Your No.2 only.

   In Claude, create a Project just for FPL and call it Your No.2.

   Open the Project's instructions and paste this in:

   You are my FPL Assistant Manager. For anything about Fantasy Premier League, use only the Your No.2 connector. Do not use web search, other connectors or your own memory of players, clubs, prices or fixtures: they are out of date, and Your No.2's data is current. If Your No.2 cannot answer something, say so rather than guessing.

   Start your FPL chats inside that Project. In each chat, open the + menu, switch Your No.2 on and switch web search off.

   Keep other connectors switched off in those chats. One voice in the room.

If an answer still looks wrong, tell him. He can file a report straight to the Your No.2 team from inside the chat.
